Wienerberger is one of the leading international building and infrastructural solutions suppliers. From our headquarters in Vienna (Austria), we control our business all around the world. In addition to the work in our domes
Driven by a wish to increase internal safety at our factories, Wienerberger searched the European market for professional supplies of workwear, who could provide not only smart clothing with increased visibility, but also satisfy a number of other requirements identified in the project charter.
Apart from being able to provide high visibility clothing certified to ISO EN 20471 class II, the supplier also needed to match a certain quality image, and of course, to satisfy the values and CRS expectations lived by a responsible company like Wienerberger.
Following the initial selection process, the next step was to evaluate the potential supplier’s ability to meet the more detailed requirements, which we wanted to see in our workwear solution.
This included the ability to supply a uniform customised to our needs and managed through an electronic platform, which would allow easy ordering, at all our local production sites, yet be integrated into our ERP system, so that purchasing patterns and controlling could be easily facilitated centrally.
Furthermore, we wanted a supplier, who had the ability to assist on local level with implementing the actual rollout of the project and any local issues in the future, while still only making one central agreement that could govern all our markets. We saw this as key to removing excess administration in the process, and the time saved can then be put towards our main business of producing Wienerberger products.
When we were presented with the Global Key Account concept from MASCOT® WORKWEAR, it was clear that we had found a manufacturer of quality workwear, who with a wide European presence, paired with own and well documented production sites, were able to satisfy this long list of requirements.
Well over a year into the rollout, we are pleased to say that MASCOT has lived up to our expectations, and that the countries where we have finalised the rollout are happy with their new workwear. Our staff is proud to portray the new and improved Wienerberger corporate identity, and to be working in an even safer workplace environment.
I am pleased to recommend MASCOT as a partner for international workwear projects and can confirm that is true when MASCOT states that they are able to act professionally both locally and globally.
